Mobile dispensary: Free health check-up camps for tribal people in remote villages of Kamrup district
The Mobile Dispensary Project for Schedule Tribes by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs is being implemented by ACRD in Chayani Borduar and Rani Block of Kamrup district, Assam, since 2003. Under the programme, ACRD provides regular health support services – including medicines, referrals to local health centre or hospitals in case of emergencies – free of cost to people living in remote and unreached areas. A health check-up unit set-up at Narayanpur village of Borduar Bagan area is also tending to the basic health issues of the villagers nearby the project area. ACRD has been rendering medical services to the tribal people living in the remote villages of Chayani Borduar and Rani Development Block of Kamrup district through this project.
