Dishan’s story
Dishan Deka, a 5-year-old boy from Lawpara village in Tamulpur, faced a serious health scare when he developed a high fever, a dry cough, and a severe headache. His mother, worried and desperate for help, brought him to a health camp organized under the "SBI Sanjeevani Clinic on Wheels" initiative. The camp's doctor quickly diagnosed Dishan's illness and prescribed the necessary medication. Within days of starting the treatment, Dishan's health began to improve significantly. A follow-up revealed that his fever had completely subsided, and his cough had vanished within just five days.
Sagarika’s story
Sagarika Das, a 7-year-old girl from B-block in Baksa district, faced a challenging health issue when she developed a severe eye infection. Her mother brought her to a health camp organized by the "SBI Sanjeevani Clinic on Wheels" initiative for treatment. After receiving appropriate care and medication, Sagarika returned to the camp for a scheduled follow-up check-up. The results were encouraging: her eye infection had completely healed, and there were no signs of contact allergy. However, the doctors identified a vitamin deficiency and prescribed a children's multivitamin to address it.
Transforming Lives: Cataract Surgeries Bring New Vision to Elderly Villagers
In 2023, Susumoi Das (75), Arati Das (60), and Pramila Das (63) were struggling with significant cataract buildup in both eyes, which made their daily lives difficult. Without access to proper eye care facilities, their village community leader sent them to a specialized eye camp organized by ACRD under the "SBI Sanjeevani on Wheels" initiative in Chandanpur village, Tamulpur district. After being screened at the camp on March 28, 2023, they were operated on free of charge at the Guwahati Eye Centre on April 6, 2023. All three have since recovered well.
